MANDATE


The main mandate of METRO LIPA WATER DISTRICT is to manage efficiently water resources for the effective delivery of water services to the residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in Lipa City and Municipalities of Malvar, Mataas na Kahoy, some areas of San Jose and Balete, Batangas. MLWD aims to always provide safe, affordable, and adequate water services to consumers.

FUNCTIONS


METRO LIPA WATER DISTRICT was formed pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 198, also known as the Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973, with the following functions:

  1. Acquiring, installing, improving, maintaining, and operating water supply and distribution systems for domestic, industrial, municipal, and agricultural use within the district’s jurisdiction.
  2. Providing, maintaining, and operating wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal facilities.
  3. Conducting other functions and operations related to water resource development, utilization, and disposal as necessary to fulfill its mandate.
