In accordance with LWUA Board of Trustees (BOT) Resolution No. 15, Series of 2026, dated February 13, 2026, the Metro Lipa Water District (MLWD) will fully implement its Septage Management Program starting June 1, 2026. This program aims to protect and preserve our water resources to have safer, cleaner, and more orderly community.
Under this program, septic tanks will be desludged once every five (5) year scheme, and the septage will be properly disposed of through our Septage Treatment Plant situated at MLWD Sanitation and Eco-Tourism Garden, Purok 3, Barangay Balintawak, Lipa City.
What are the charges?
Starting with your May 2026 consumption, your monthly water bill will now include a Sanitation Management Fee (SMF) of:
- PhP 1.65 per cubic meter of water consumed
- An additional 2% franchise tax (as per LWUA BOT Resolution NO. 286, series of 2004)
